serenity now! September 20, 2008

a moment of solitude.  i have an empty house, and with the week i have had, i thought this moment would never come.

so here i am, on my bed, writing and watching A&E, sure there are a few things to do around here, but i’m choosing to take the next couple of hours to relax.

my shoulders are not tight!  this is amazing.  i’m sure seeing the chiropractor yesterday did help.

i always teach my spiel about “taking care of yourself” to everyone….and i’m learning to walk the walk.  it really works…taking care of my health and wellness is the pillar of peace in my home!

a balanced mom is the key to the household that runs like a breeze…

after my 2 hours are up, i will put my load of laundry in, pick up, sweep my kitchen…and then i may have some time to read my book before work.

balance, yin and yang…wax on wax off, breathe in, breathe out……that’s what its all about!

they r growing up so fast September 15, 2008

tomorrow is meshea’s 10th birthday…10 years!  amazing.  the time really does go by too quickly.  they aren’t 5 little muffins hopping around the house any more…in my mind they are, but in reality they are not.

we are dealing with 12 yr old issues, 10 yr old boy issues, 10 yr old girl issues, 8 yr old issues, and 6 yr old issues.  wow.

each set of issues is so very different.  how i must hear God for each one.  their little map for their lives are so unique and their plan is their own.  in my gut i have to know i have heard each one’s heart. 

i hope my kids want to be around me when they grow up, like i want to be around my mom…she is my trusted friend.   i pray that i win their hearts, training them how to brave the storms of life and be able to bounce back from any obstacles they face. i also pray that they will truly listen to the Voice within them and get the direction they need.

what is going to happen next?  im going to blink and they will be in college……and they WILL ALL go to college!!!!! 

speaking of college, im setting a goal to meet with CGCC today…im going to attempt to begin a few years journey back to school…………….and then…………..i still think im going to law school….

in the mean time, im enjoying every moment with my kids – oh i almost forgot…we got a bearded dragon today.  its a big ugly thing…here’s what it looks like:

i think we are getting a panda or a dolphin next…..

my wreath is made, now i just have to clean up, hang it, return the left overs, get some flowers and plant them……yay
