Wheather or not you voted for this man, wheather or not you agree with America’s choice…he is still our president…and we as Christians have an obligation to support this man in prayer. May he be guided by God’s wisdom!
personally i do have hope…not because of our new president – but because of a promise that if “My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
please note the scripture above does not say…”i will heal their land in the way they think i ought to”…nor does it say “i will heal their land by making them vote for a certain person.” oh no no…
it does, however, say in the verse before “if I send pestilence among My people and My people who are called by My name…” and so on. Pestilence comes sometimes to turn a people back to God. But God promises healing to the land where HIS people will “humble themselves”,”pray”, “seek My face”, “turn from their wicked ways,” THEN He will hear from heaven and heal our land…IF – THEN…
simple principal. you see, the power of choice is at play here in every aspect. Christians should arise to prayer…not in a prideful way…but we should humble ourselves that He may hear us. healing our land has an array of facets. Economy, produce, peace, etc….healthy land means it gets what it needs and produces properly in all aspects….a sick land is disjointed and all of the things it is at the moment.
let us move toward healing and not criticize the choice america has made, but move forward in a peacable manner, waging war on our knees…not with our words or attitude…Speak less, pray more…seek His face, not pout if you are not happy with who america has chosen…turn from your own wicked ways – don’t point out the wicked ways of there’s (thats where we pray for others)…get the tree out of your own eye if you expect to help your nieghbor get a speck or splinter out of his.
personally, i pray that the church would be a light and show love and bring seekers in…don’t drive them away.
love and light! hope for all – Jesus Christ.
